DataMotion can be integrated into Apple’s MacMail in two steps.<\/p>\n

  1. Create a new MacMail E-Mail Account<\/li>\n
  2. Add the POP3 and SMTP settings to this new account<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This step-by-step guide provides instructions for doing so.<\/p>\n

    Create a New MacMail E-Mail Account<\/h2>\n

    MacMail gives you the ability to add multiple email accounts to be used in a single MacMail application. You may already have an account added to MacMail (ie: your company email address), but these steps will take you through adding a new<\/em> account that is solely configured to send and receive DataMotion messages.<\/p>\n

    1. To add an account to MacMail, first open the Mail app

      \n<\/li>\n
    2. On the top navigation bar, select Mail<\/strong> then choose Preferences…<\/strong> from the drop-down menu (or push CMD + ,)

      \nThis will bring up the Internet Account<\/strong> pop-up where you can add or remove email accounts.<\/p>\n

    3. Select the +<\/strong> button on the bottom left-hand corner of the pop-up to add a new account.

    4. Select the radio button next to Other Mail Account…<\/strong> and then click the newly activated Continue<\/strong> button.

    5. On the Add a Mail Account<\/strong> pop-up, enter your Full Name<\/strong>, DataMotion Address<\/strong> and Password<\/strong> then click Sign in<\/strong>.

      Add POP3 and SMTP Settings<\/h2>\n

      POP3 is what allows you to retrieve\/download incoming messages, and SMTP is what allows you to send new messages. The Mail app will require more information and bring you to a pop-up with advance options that you will have to set to enable your account to send and receive DataMotion messages.<\/p>\n
